How to watch and stream Vancouver Whitecaps-Inter Miami MLS Cup Final in Canada
It’s arguably the biggest match in the 51-year history of the Vancouver Whitecaps.
On Saturday, they’ll play Inter Miami FC for a one-game, winner-take-all championship, aiming to win their first MLS Cup.
And, there’s good news for fans in Vancouver and Canada who want to watch the penultimate game.
The MLS Cup Final, which begins at 11:30 a.m. PST, will be available to watch both on TSN television and Apple TV streaming in Canada. Pre-game show coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. on Apple and 11 a.m. on TSN.
There’s a watch party at BC Place for those who prefer to watch the game with other fans. So far, over 17,000 tickets have been sold.
Whitecaps are underdogs
Not only is this match a big deal for the Whitecaps and their fans, but some closely associated with the MLS are calling this the biggest final in the league’s 32-year history.
Vancouver enters the match as clear underdogs, according to oddsmakers.
That’s not a huge surprise considering that Miami has been favoured to win ever since the start of the season. The Whitecaps, on the other hand, were preseason long-shots to make it this far.
Even before Thomas Müller’s arrival, the Whitecaps had authored an impressive season.
They made it all the way to the final of the Concacaf Champions Cup, defeating Lionel Messi and company twice during the semi-final. They battled through a slew of injuries to rank second in the Western Conference.
Vancouver continued its success after Müller arrived. Including the postseason, they’ve lost just once in 13 games, winning nine times and drawing three matches.
