RedHawks Open Canadian Collegiate – Miami University RedHawks


MACTIER, Ontario — The RedHawks ended day one of the Canadian Collegiate Invitational at even par with a total score of 288, landing them in sixth place, one stroke shy of fifth-place Michigan State. Notre Dame leads the field, with a team score of 12 under. Tyler Anderson (68) and Liam Nelson (72) both started round one strong for the RedHawks, shooting four under and even par, respectively.  

 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Anderson (68) shot four below par, shooting seven birdies in the first round. He ended the day tied for sixth place. Anderson shot three birdies in a row starting on the ninth hole, as well as shooting a birdie on the last hole. 
  • Nelson (72) sits at even par after the first round with four birdies in the first day. He is tied for 21st. 
  • Brett Podobinski (74)  is tied for 34th at a score of two above par. He ended the day with a birdie on the final hole. 
  • Cameron Pero (74) is also tied for 34th, shooting four birdies. 
  • Michael Weber (79) shot seven over par, currently tied for 52nd place.
