Stray bullet hits sleeping girl in NW Miami-Dade – NBC 6 South Florida

A girl was grazed by a stray bullet while she was sleeping in her bed early Wednesday in Northwest Miami-Dade, according to the sheriff’s office.

It happened at around 3:15 a.m. in a residential area of Northwest 69th Avenue and Northwest 173rd Drive.

According to a preliminary investigation, the girl of unspecified age was grazed by a stray bullet around her lower extremities when a bullet flew through her window.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and treated the victim at the scene.

Information about a possible suspect was not immediately available.
