Person found dead inside car on fire in southwest Miami-Dade – NBC 6 South Florida

A person was found dead inside a car that was engulfed in flames Monday in southwest Miami-Dade, officials said.

Deputies responded to a vehicle fire at around 7:22 p.m. in the area of Southwest 136th Avenue and 288th Street, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue eventually responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.

A person, whose gender is currently unknown, was found inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The cause of the fire is unknown. Homicide investigators are at the scene.
