Woman drowns after being found in Miami River – NBC 6 South Florida

An investigation is underway in Miami Saturday morning after a woman drowned, police said.

According to Miami Police, officers received reports of a person who jumped into the water at 135 SW South River Drive.

Miami Fire Rescue said officers found a woman in her 60s in the water and pulled her out.

She was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead.

Her identity was not disclosed.
