MIAMI — An abandoned home in Miami was destroyed in a fire Wednesday morning.

Video taken by Miami Fire Rescue shows the home, located at 1557 NW 67th St., fully engulfed in flames.

According to MFR Lt. Pete Sanchez, the fire was reported at about 6:35 a.m.

He said firefighters arrived at the scene to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

“The fire was brought under control within twenty minutes, with no damage to surrounding structures,” Sanchez said in an email to Local 10 News. “The home was confirmed to be abandoned and is believed to have been unoccupied at the time of the incident.”

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Miami Fire Investigation Unit.

Sanchez said the City of Miami Building Department’s Unsafe Structures Division was contacted to assess the structural integrity of the building.
