Police release sketches of attempted kidnappers in Miami Gardens – NBC 6 South Florida

Police are searching for three men who they say attempted to restrain and kidnap a child in Miami Gardens last month.

The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 28, in the 1300 block and NW 208th Street, police said Tuesday.

A male juvenile told officers he was running down his block when three men called him across the street and told him they were going to kidnap him, police said.

One of the suspects attempted to restrain the child’s hand with a zip tie, police said. The child pushed and punched the suspect and then ran home.

The child was not injured.

The three suspects are described as Black males. Police released sketches of two who appeared to be approximately 18 years old. A third suspect, who was not sketched, appeared to be around 30 years old.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to contact Miami Gardens Police Detective F. Tamayo at 305-474-1532 or 305-474-6473. Anonymous tipsters can contact Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
