Meet the 2025-26 Miami Hockey Team: Ryan Smith
OXFORD, Ohio— With the Miami Hockey season set to begin on Friday, Oct. 3 against Ferris State at Steve “Coach” Cady Arena, second-year head coach Anthony Noreen‘s program will have quite a few new faces in 2025-26.
Ryan Smith, a forward from Pendleton, N.Y., will join the RedHawks this year. He played last year for Quinnipiac University.

PRIOR TO MIAMI
- Appeared in 34 games for Quinnipiac as a freshman, producing five points (2-3-5)
- Played the previous two seasons for Noreen with USHL’s Tri-City Storm, collecting 49 total points (29-20-49)
- Tied Storm’s team record with two shorthanded goals in a game on Feb. 4, 2024
- Represented Team USA in 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup
- Served as team captain with Buffalo Jr. Sabres organization in 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons
- Participated in Buffalo Sabres’ 2024 development camp
