Morgan Wallen Teases “Miami” Remix With Lil Wayne & Rick Ross

Morgan Wallen shared a wild surprise with fans at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Friday night when he walked out to an unreleased remix of his song “Miami,” featuring verses from hip-hop heavyweights Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.

Midway through the show, Wallen paused to address the crowd, visibly excited about the remix’s debut. “On that walkout right there, I have to say, shoutout to Lil Wayne and to Rick Ross for hopping on that,” he said, grinning. “I need to figure out when to drop that.” The comment, met with roaring applause,

The collaboration marks another step in Wallen’s ongoing fusion of country and hip-hop, a trend that has defined much of his recent work. He’s dropped two collaborations with Lil Durk now, as well as a massive guest verse on MoneyBagg Yo’s “WHISKEY WHISKEY.” The “Miami” remix, which is very much rooted in old school hip-hop, feels like a natural evolution. As The New York Times previously noted, “Miami” was “begging for a Rick Ross remix,” a prediction Wallen has now fulfilled.

Fans are now eagerly awaiting the official release of this “Miami” remix. Wallen’s earlier comments on Theo Von’s podcast hinted at a possible remix after BigXthaPlug’s verse didn’t make the album cut, but the addition of Lil Wayne and Rick Ross has raised the stakes significantly. Given Lil Wayne’s recent Tha Carter VI debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and Rick Ross’s history of high-profile collaborations with Wayne, the remix is poised to make waves across country and hip-hop audiences.

As Wallen continues his tour, with upcoming stops in Tampa and Charlotte, the Miami performance has solidified his knack for blending genres and keeping fans on their toes. Whether the “Miami” remix drops as a single or part of an expanded I’m the Problem release remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Morgan Wallen’s crossover reign shows no signs of slowing down.
