Stream FIFA Club World Cup live: How to watch Messi, Inter Miami vs. PSG today

ATLANTA – When the FIFA Club World Cup revamp was formulated, this is the dream matchup the organizers had in mind. Football icon Lionel Messi leads undefeated Inter Miami against Champions League titan PSG in the Round of 16 today – Sunday, June 29 – at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. This rare match is available on one streaming service.

Today’s match will broadcast live exclusively on DAZN at 12 p.m. Eastern.

What is DAZN?

This global sports streaming service offers live and on-demand content, including soccer, boxing, MMA and more. You can purchase a monthly subscription for $29.99. The streaming service does not offer a free trial, but is running a promotion for soccer fans. The FIFA Club World Cup Pass offers a one-year subscription for just $159.99 (or $13.33/month), down from the usual $224.99 annual cost.

Inter Miami are playing with nothing to lose heading into their showdown against Europe’s best team. They are the lone MLS team to advance out of the group stage, tallying two draws and one win.

Messi will square off against his former club where he spent two seasons (2021-23) alongside superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The trifecta failed to lead PSG to the promised land during those years, and the dream trio went their separate ways.

It’s been a team effort to help the Herons reach the knockout stage, surrounded by the world’s best. Messi jetted in his trademark free kick magic to defeat FC Porto, marking the first MLS team to oust a European club in the tournament, while Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets have been spot-on in their roles.

After jumping out to a 2-0 lead, Inter Miami eventually drew with Palmeiras to secure their spot in the Round of 16.

Head coach Javier Mascherano’s club has only lost one of their last eight matches in all competitions. But this ranks as their toughest competition in franchise history.

Part of their treble glory, Paris Saint-Germain captured their first-ever Champions League title less than one month ago as Luis Enrique’s group was unstoppable down the stretch.

That has not been the case in this FIFA Club World Cup. They were shockingly knocked off by reigning Brasileiro Serie and Copa Libertadores champions Botafogo, 1-0. That was after the group buried European rival Atletico Madrid, 4-0. They silenced the Seattle Sounders, 2-0, not allowing a single shot on goal.

PSG did just enough to win Group B, setting up today’s clash.

Ousmane Dembele (hamstring) could be fit to make his FIFA Club World Cup debut. If he can’t suit up, the Parisians have plenty of firepower at their disposal.

Fabian Ruiz and Vitinha nabbed goals in the tournament opener. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Achraf Hakimi sealed up the group finale.

PSG has put together four clean sheets in their last five games, including their dominating 5-0 performance against Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

The winner will play Bayern Munich or Flamengo in the quarterfinals on July 5 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
