How Lionel Messi led Inter Miami past Porto at the Club World Cup with a brilliant second-half free kick

Well, that was certainly not in the script for Porto.

They were given a very favourable draw at this Club World Cup but are without a win in their first two matches.

After being fortunate to draw with Palmeiras in their opener, they didn’t cause too many problems for Inter Miami and are now staring down the barrel of an embarrassing group-stage exit.

They do still have Al Ahly to play, but a draw between Palmeiras and Miami will knock out the Portuguese side regardless of what they do.
