Man’s body pulled from Great Miami River


MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – A death investigation is underway after a man’s body was pulled from the Great Miami River Thursday night, according to the sheriff’s office and county dispatchers.

Someone spotted the body in the water near the canoe trail at Shawnee Lookout on Lawrenceburg Road in western Hamilton County and reported it to 911 dispatchers around 8:20 p.m.

The Hamilton County Police Association’s dive team responded, along with county park rangers and the coroner’s office, dispatchers say.

Authorities cleared the scene by 10:30 p.m.

The man’s name and age have not been released yet.
