2 elderly homeowners face $300,000 fines in Lauderdale Lakes

Two homeowners in their eighties are fighting the city of Lauderdale Lakes for control of their most valuable asset, their duplex. Code inspectors found violations but took so long to follow up that fines now rival real estate costs.
