Authorities respond to shooting incident at warehouse in SW Miami-Dade; Several injured – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) – Authorities are responding to a shooting at a warehouse in Southwest Miami-Dade that left several people injured.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m., Thursday, in the 7300 block of Southwest 45th Street, near the Palmetto Expressway and Bird Road.

Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Special Response Team and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, responded to the scene.

At least four people were reportedly shot, though the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.

The suspect may still be inside the building where the shooting took place.

Aerial footage from 7Skyforce showed a heavy police presence in the area and several people being escorted out of the building with their hands raised.

The situation remains active.

Authorities are urging the public to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
