Mason Taylor, son of Dolphins legend Jason Taylor, to visit Miami ahead of 2025 NFL Draft

According to a social media post from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Monday afternoon, Mason Taylor, son of Dolphins legend, Jason Taylor, will officially visit Miami ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Taylor’s ties to Miami are strong. Not only is his dad NFL Hall of Famer and Dolphins all-time sack leader Jason Taylor, his uncle is NFL Hall of Famer and Dolphins all-time tackles leader Zach Thomas.

Unlike his father and his uncle, Mason Taylor doesn’t play on defense. Taylor is a tight end — and a highly athletic one as well. Taylor scored an 8.88 RAS (Relative Athletic Score) for his pre-draft work — scoring exceptionally well in the bench press (28 reps), the 40-yard dash (4.68 seconds) and the 3-cone drill (7.06 seconds).

Many project Mason Taylor to be a second-round pick later this month, which means the Dolphins would need to pounce at pick #48 if he were still available.

As mentioned by Pelissero, Miami will have competition for Taylor’s services if they are truly interested. The former LSU tight end has already visited with the Los Angeles Chargers and will also visit the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns before the NFL Draft.
