Mater Prize Home: Builder reveals what makes a dream home

The builder behind Mater Prize Home’s latest Gold Coast prize home says the property is packed with luxury features and can’t narrow down just one favourite.

Bradley Cruickshank of 22 Developments was behind showstopper home Magnolia at Miami.

His team spent nine months building the luxury house, which includes five bedrooms and three bathrooms, and a string of standout features from a circular pool to a curved staircase.

“I think there are a lot of factors when we talk dream home — location, street appeal and the warm feeling you get every time you walk in,” Mr Cruickshank said.

“A dream house for me gives you a warm flowing vibe that makes you never want to leave.

“To have all the luxury features that you thought you would never be able to have.”

Mater Prize Home’s latest Gold Coast prize package will be drawn on April 24.

Valued at $4.5m, the Miami lifestyle prize includes Magnolia, the showstopper beach home at 15 Bradley Ave, Miami.

Standout features include a handcrafted spiral staircase, circular magnesium pool, sunken fire pit, and resort-inspired alfresco area with a built-in barbecue.

Mr Cruickshank said the staircase, use of stone and curved ceilings were some of his favourite features of the home.

The prize package also includes a Mercedes SUV parked in the garage and $100K in cashable gold bullion.

The latest $4.5m Mater Prize Home at Miami on the Gold Coast is within walking distance to pristine beaches, trendy cafes, and restaurants.

It is a short drive to major attractions including theme parks, shopping centres and sporting stadiums.

PropTrack data reveals the median house price in Miami is $1.65m, up 13.8 per cent over 12 months while the median rental price is $1,100 per week, up 2.3 per cent over 12 months.
