Multiple yachts burst into flames in Northwest Miami-Dade, officials say
Multiple yachts burst into flames early Friday morning in Northwest Miami-Dade, prompting a massive firefighter response.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, three vessels caught fire near 3250 NW North River Dr. — two 60-foot yachts and one that was 90 feet long.
The fires shut down several roads in the area to allow firefighters take control of the fires.
Video from the scene earlier shows massive flames shooting out of the boats.
CBS News Miami has reached out to the business listed for the property and transit authorities because a number of railroads in the area may be impacted.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
