14 RedHawks Named to National Academic Squad

NATIONAL FIELD HOCKEY COACHES ASSOCIATION – On Wednesday afternoon the NFHCA announced their 2024 National Academic Squad. Imke Breedijk, Pippa Breedijk, Meg Canfield, Stella Clark, Kylie Coughlin, Charlotte Davidson, Jessie Gauna, Katherine Groff, Becca Kline, Riley Mazzalupi, Paula Navarro, Finley Payne, Carlie Servis and Nicky Sjouken of the Miami University field hockey team were named to the team.

In order to qualify for the honor, student-athletes must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester and be nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.

“Being a student-athlete has taught me so much about discipline and time management, but more than anything, it’s shown me the importance of dedication and perseverance,” said Servis, senior midfielder for the RedHawks. “Juggling field hockey and academics wasn’t easy, but having a strong support system—my teammates, coaches, professors, and family—has made all the difference. I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished both on the field and in the classroom, and I’m grateful for the opportunities this journey has given me.”
