Avanti Way’s tech-first approach aims to reshape South Florida’s real estate landscape

When Andres Korda first met Enrique Teran, he recognized a kindred spirit. It wasn’t just Enrique’s vision for a tech-driven brokerage that caught his attention – it was the depth of frustration he’d seen in his mother’s experience as a real estate agent for 20 years, grappling with inefficiencies that held her back. 

In their first lunch meeting at a small Argentine restaurant, the pair found a common goal: creating a solution to streamline real estate by combining tech with their deep experience in the real estate space.

In 2007, Korda and Teran [pictured above] co-founded Avanti Way with a simple but ambitious plan: to make real estate better by developing a tech-powered brokerage model. But they soon discovered that building software alone wasn’t enough. 

“We quickly realized that the industry needed more than just software,” Korda told Refresh Miami. “The issues were systemic, tied to outdated processes and a lack of value-driven service.” So, they decided to build a comprehensive tech ecosystem that would empower agents, simplify the process for clients, and keep all parts of the transaction connected in one platform.

The timing was tough. The real estate crash in 2008 hit Miami hard, and it threw a wrench in their plans. But Korda and Teran pivoted, seizing on a new opportunity: foreclosures. The team began managing foreclosed properties for clients and quickly saw a demand for tech solutions in property management and asset tracking. 

“We realized that investors needed better tools to manage and track their portfolios,” Korda said, describing how this insight became the foundation for what is now Avanti Way’s end-to-end real estate platform.

By 2014, Avanti Way had evolved into a full-fledged ecosystem for real estate professionals, offering everything from agent training and compliance to transaction management and marketing. The launch of their AVEX platform – a proprietary tech stack designed to unify the real estate process – ushered in a new era for Avanti Way, allowing brokers and agents to work within one cohesive system instead of relying on scattered third-party tools.

Through the AVEX platform, agents can access analytics, track their progress, connect with leads, and even get personalized coaching. One of the platform’s notable features is its advanced AI capabilities, introduced in 2024, which assist agents in everything from business planning to crafting market-specific social media scripts. 

“Our analytics have become a critical tool for agents,” Korda asserted. “The AI integration with ChatGPT and Claude allows agents to access hyper-local market insights and instantly generate marketing content, tailored to their specific needs.”

The company’s business model has also found traction. Today, Avanti Way hosts 1,800 agents across 15 offices in Florida, each using AVEX for an annual fee. These agents, whom the company calls “Agentpreneurs,” benefit from Avanti’s data-driven approach, which keeps them competitive in a crowded market. Instead of a fragmented tech stack, AVEX centralizes everything into a “platform-as-a-service” model that integrates marketing, compliance, education, and beyond.

Avanti Way recently rolled out their “branchising” model, a hybrid approach combining traditional franchising and corporate support. With this model, branch leaders take charge of growth and agent recruitment, while Avanti handles the back-office complexities. 

“Our goal is to empower branch leaders to focus entirely on high-value tasks,” Korda said. This approach has allowed Avanti to expand quickly and profitably across Florida, with plans to go national in the coming years.

For Korda, Miami has been more than just the setting of Avanti Way’s growth. “Miami has been an incredible base for us,” he said. “It’s a dynamic, diverse real estate market that’s constantly evolving, and that keeps us on our toes.” Through partnerships with local boards and educational institutions, they’ve supported Miami’s tech rise, bringing attention to the potential of tech-enabled real estate.

As Avanti Way moves into this next phase, Korda remains focused on refining the platform’s capabilities and driving their “Agentpreneur” model forward – setting a new standard for what a tech-enabled brokerage can be along the way.
