The Museum Of Ice Cream To Open New, Permanent Downtown Miami Location

The Museum of Ice Cream is set to make a very sweet return to Miami this September, and this time it’s permanent. Back in 2017, Miami Beach was graced with one of the very first Museum of Ice Cream pop ups — one that garnered an incredibly successful run.

This experiential brand is known for its immersive, multi-sensory experiences all heavily inspired by ice cream. On September 6th, the Museum of Ice Cream will officially open at Miami Worldcenter in Downtown Miami.

“Living in Miami, and opening a Museum at the Faena Bazaar back in 2017 was a dream for me and changed how I approached designing the past five museums we have opened around the world,” says Maryellis Bunn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Museum of Ice Cream. “With this Museum being a permanent build, I was able to push the boundaries of design and interactivity, making this the creamiest, most colorful, and tastiest museum yet.” Bunn shares that the space is filled with tons of sensory elements from taste, touch, and smell incorporated throughout.

To enhance the journey through scent and taste, Museum of Ice Cream Miami partnered with sensory scientists at International Flavors and Fragrances, who created a multi-sensory tasting experience aimed at taking visitors on a journey through the flavors of the tropical city.

This new spans 14,000 square feet over two floors filled with interactive stations and moments that are all a tribute to Miami’s international spirit, culture, hospitality, and — of course, love of ice cream. Unlimited ice cream and endless photo opportunities? Sign us up!

All new highlights include a retro ‘Cream Liner’, a 1960’s inspired luxury airplane that transports guests from downtown Miami to a world of endless possibility in a setting where everything resembles dreamy orange creamsicles. Guests can also look forward to exploring ‘A Grand Hall of Freezers,’ filled with mysterious doors, where you’re encouraged to discover surprises, many of which are delicious treats. And no visit to the Museum of Ice Cream would be complete without the world famous sprinkle pool — this one is designed as a tribute to Miami’s iconic Versace Mansion.

This experience is tailored for the whole family — including adults by way of ice cream-themed cocktails and special adults-only hours. These offerings are the Museum’s way of inspiring the child inside everyone, whether it’s swimming in sprinkles, exploring banana jungles, playing carnival games, or just enjoying the chance to eat unlimited ice cream.

In celebration of opening, Museum of Ice Cream Miami will feature brand new ice cream flavors from beloved Little Havana creamery, Azucar Ice Cream in addition to serving Hailey Bieber’s coconut-based soft serve brand Cosmic Bliss.

With locations in New York City, Austin, Chicago, Singapore, and soon Boston, the Museum of Ice Cream should definitely be on your radar if you’re an ice cream lover on the lookout for something fun to do while in the Magic City. Museum of Ice Cream Miami opens to the public on September 6th, and tickets are now available at museumoficecream.com.
