Bicyclist dies after being struck by vehicle in Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – A bicyclist died Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Miami Gardens, police confirmed to Local 10 News.

The crash was reported at 6:18 a.m. in the 200 block of Northwest 182nd Street.

According to police, the driver of a black Nissan was heading north on Northwest Second Avenue when he or she lost control of the car, cut through trees and landed on the side perimeter road where the car hit the bicyclist.

Police said the driver immediately stopped and remained at the scene.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

No other details were immediately released.
