1 dead, 1 injured in Little Haiti double shooting


MIAMI – Authorities in Miami-Dade County are investigating a double shooting.

Miami police were called to the area of 180 Northwest 52nd Street in the city’s Little Haiti neighborhood just before 7 p.m. Monday

Officers were focused mostly on a black car parked in the street.

According to police, two young men were found shot and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Once has since passed away, authorities said.

Police shut down several blocks around the scene as they investigated.

According to a Local 10 News source, the shooting may be related to a shooting that happened in Liberty City earlier in the day.

There were several bullet holes in the front of a black SUV.

One of the victims was identified by family members as 20-year-old Treyshawn Wright.

Local 10 News has learned the shooting is gang related but that has not yet been confirmed by police.

There has been no word any arrests of if officers are seeking any suspects or persons of interest.

Police said three people were detained as possible witnesses but not as suspects.
