Police chase involving stolen car wanted for burglaries ends in northwest Miami-Dade


MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police took several people into custody following a brief chase that ended in Miami-Dade County.

Sky ten flew over a white Dodge Challenger with its doors open after the chase ended in a crash in Northwest Miami-Dade.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, they began following the stolen car in the area of Northwest 103 Street and Seventh Avenue after the car refused to pull over.

Later, troopers said they executed a pit maneuver on the car in order to get it to stop.

Afterwards, the trooper’s cruiser and the white car could be seen crashed into a fence.

That’s when two people were taken into custody.

One of the people taken away by authorities claimed they were “just catching a ride.”

Officers said the vehicle was involved in several burglaries in Miami-Dade County.

A stolen gun was found inside the car, police said.

Authorities have not released the identities of the people taken into custody or said what charges they will be facing.
