Plan for daytime lane closures, delays on US60 between Superior, Miami June 6
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for lane closures on U.S. Highway 60 between Superior and Miami during daylight hours on Thursday, June 6, for construction activities related to the US60, Queen Creek and Waterfall Canyon bridges replacement project:
US60 between Superior and Miami in Pinal County, mileposts 227-231, will be intermittently reduced to one lane with alternating east- and westbound travel.
On-site flaggers and a pilot car will assist drivers through the work zone. Drivers should be prepared to stop when approaching and proceeding through the flagging operation. Expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
Motorists should plan for the following restrictions to be in place for the duration of the project:
- Lane restrictions and speed reductions in the work zone.
- A 12-foot vehicle width restriction. Oversize loads may be accommodated with advance notice.
Full closures of US60, when required, will occur from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays through November.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down, use caution and merge safely when approaching and traveling through highway work zones.
