Audacy flips rhythmic CHR “Power 96” WPOW Miami to classic hip-hop, playing hits from artists including 2Pac, Pitbull, Notorious B.I.G., Usher, and Jay-Z.

“Our listeners have been asking for it, and we’re excited to announce the next chapter of Power 96 as Miami’s new home for throwbacks,” Brand Manager Will Calder said in a release. “This music is the heartbeat of Miami’s vibrant culture, shaping our city’s identity and bringing back the best memories and feel-good vibes that make South Florida so unique.”

WPOW retains the “Power 96” branding that has been used since its debut in the mid-1980s. The on-air lineup remains unchanged with “Wake Up Miami with DJ Zog & Ivy Unleashed” (6-10am), Johanna Gomez (10am-2pm), and Mijo (2-7pm).
