Miami Dolphins game picks for the 2024 season!
Last Tuesday evening, the night before the NFL schedule was released, I posted the list of the Miami Dolphins 2024 opponents. I followed that up with the Phinsider Question Of The Day.
Tonight’s question wrapped in an exercise is to cut and paste the list from above and give us your list of winners and losses by contest. You can also add your final record when all your wins and losses are added.
Only one person did the cut-and-paste, and I appreciate you! I also appreciate the rest of you for being rebels, and in the end, I am happy to receive any response to the PQOTD.
So, to begin with, the one comment that included the cut-and-paste-
Call_for_the_Priest’77 sees an identical record to 2023, but the Dolphins capture the AFC East crown this time!
You heard it here first! It’s a repeat record of 11 – 6 for the Dolphins but this time it is good enough for the division!
The record could be right. Last year in the Spring I predicted we would go 12 – 5 so an 11 – 6 prediction seems reasonable for a team that looks like it is slightly improved overall from last year. The division win prediction has got to come true at some point during the remainder of eternity so why not this year? The game predictions (and commentary in particular) border between reasonable perceptiveness and entertainment / comedy. I will yield to the reader’s impressions on those.
As we are still hours away from the schedule unveiling, I have listed our games home and away with opponents in alphabetical order:
HOME (6 – 2)
W – Arizona (Put Ramsey on MH jr all game and we have to win this!)
W – Buffalo (We are going to set the pace for the race with a big rival win here)
W – Jacksonville (Not much better going in JAX after last year. Should win this at home)
L – Las Vegas (Scrappiest game of the year. They’ll want it a bit more. We learn from this however)
W – New England (Expect growing pains in the new era and some inferior talent we win)
W – NY Jets (Hope this comes earlier than later but I think we crack their tough D)
L – San Francisco (SF will be worse off this year but CMC does just enough damage in this one)
W – Tennessee (Time to end this ridiculous streak against another dull and new HC Titans team!)
AWAY (5 – 4)
W – Buffalo (Stomp these clowns again and we stamp the division!! Stomp and stamp I say!)
L – Cleveland (CLE remains vicious on D at home. Not our best effort here as we give this away)
L – Green Bay (Road issues stopping the run, Lambeaux mystique and luck help GB prevail)
L – Houston (Stroud is proud and Houston shows themselves as the real deal. Tough loss here)
W – Indianapolis (I get the feeling that IND is going to have QB trouble again. We take advantage)
W – LA Rams (Close call here but stadium familiarity helps us pull out a tough win here)
W – New England (Those growing pains and inferior talent will give us another sweep of NE)
L – NY Jets (Jets will be up / down all year. We help them out and they take this one on an upswing)
W – Seattle (New era in SEA will suffer through year 1. That and our superior talent sees us through)
Jamesgang must be a Joe Walsh fan and sees the end of the season going how it usually goes.
11-6. Back into playoffs as Wild Card team after losing 4 straight in Dec. massive injuries to all key positions results in blowout loss in first round of playoffs. Rinse and repeat
Yarganaught has a question, and to answer that question, no, the questions are similar and related. However, I had previously asked for the record; this time, I was asking which of those 17 games would be your three losses and your fourteen wins. Yarganaught also followed up with three games that he saw wins for the Phins!
Didn’t we just have this same post a few days ago? I think I said something like 14-3…
I don’t see them losing at home to the Raiders, or to Houston or the Jets either.
dedstrk316 was in agreement with Call_for_the_Priest’77.
I’m with you on winning the division. Either 11-6 or 10-7.
Dolfanjoe has us losing one more game than last season but wants you to put your money on the over!?!?!
10 – 7 BET THE OVER! East is down to the last game again!
Bill Goularte didn’t give us a full list, but he did give us four of the five losses he sees coming—the other is a toss-up! Also, two losses are splits between the Jets and Bills, although I don’t know if we should drop the home or away games to each.
12-5…losses to Buffalo, NY, SF, LV, and one stupid loss to anyone who’s no one. (probably the colts)
Dolfan88 took time away from swinging the ban hammer to give us another perfect season prediction!
One game…at a time till it’s 20 – 0!
TheRoo1 is another who sees only five losses and gave us four of them, with one being a toss-up. You did give me what I wanted by telling us which games would be losses. I will take an abbreviated version of the answer any day of the week so long as I get some participation, so thank you, as always!
I know it’s not what you want James, but 13-4. Losses to SanFran, Indy, Cleveland, and as always, one stupid game they shouldn’t lose.
daytonadolfan sees the Dolphins having what should be one of the better records in the NFL this coming season.
Gonna go 14-3 regular season!
PhinsTifosi has the second perfect season prediction!
20-0, of course . . .
Well, there were some great predictions, with many of you seeing the Dolphins having a flat-out great season while others saw them having the same record as last year or worse. Let’s hope the optimistic or overly optimistic people were correct. Thank you again to everyone who took the time to answer our question of the day. I will return tomorrow evening with another question post.
