Paraiso Miami Beach Features Swim and Resortwear Fashion Shows and Special Events
Paraiso Miami Swim Week, the swimwear and resortwear event, will hold its 20th anniversary edition from May 30 to June 2.
The event, which takes place at the Collins Park Tent, will feature resort 2025 collections. The main runway venue will host a four-day program of fashion shows featuring 25 established and emerging swimwear brands. Among the brands participating are Acadia, Andrea Iyamah, Sinesia Karol, Shan, Riot Swim, Chloe Rose, PQ Swim, Seafolly, Kulani Kinis, Neena Swim, Sigal, Axil Swim, Luli Fama and Nike Swim. Swimwear, resortwear, activewear and lingerie are spotlighted.
The fifth annual Instituto Maragoni Upcycle Challenge features collective student shows and will highlight sustainable practices, from upcycling to eco-friendly processes. The looks on the runway will feature art-inspired pieces created with Sharpie Creative Markers.
Last year, Paraiso Miami Swim Week garnered a media reach of 12.4 billion impressions.
This year Paraiso expects more than 30,000 attendees and more than 7,500 global buyers. With over 60 countries represented, the annual economic impact on the city is expected to be between $50 million and $75 million.
“Paraiso Miami Swim Week holds the same significance in the world of swimwear fashion as Art Basel does in contemporary art. Over the past two decades, the event has not only expanded its scope, but has also increased its visibility,” said Natalija Dedic Stojanovic, creative director and cofounder.
Summer Fashion Summit, a conference owned by Paraiso Miami Swim Week and dedicated to exploring the latest trends and ideas shaping the swimwear market, sustainability, marketing and manufacturing, will take place June 1 and June 2 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Participants include Hilldun, Seafolly, WGNS and Trendalytics, among others. Paraiso has partnered with SwimShow, a trade event which has been in business for more than 40 years and features new and established designers. Paraiso Miami Swim Week also ties in with the Miami Design District, where brands host store parties.
There’s also a partnership between Goodwool, an Italian company known for bespoke protective car shells for vintage and luxury automobiles and Walt Grace Vintage, a gallery for investment-grade automobiles and guitars. Goodwool’s Sensitive swimwear fabric car covers, combined with luxury swimwear brand Sinesia Karol and the photography of Frederic Pinet, will be exhibited in front of the Paraiso Collins Park Tent.
In addition to Miami Design District, this year’s off-site locations include W South Beach, Soho House, The Miami Beach Edition, 1111 Lincoln Road, The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, The Plymouth, Sophia Design District, Esme and AIR, among others.
Paraiso’s official partners include Murphy, Lacroix, CoverGirl, Sally Hansen and New York Makeup Academy.
As reported last week, Miami Swim Week The Shows will be held May 29 to June 2 primarily at the SLS South Beach Hotel.
