Pitbull opens new restaurant Miami Grill in Las Vegas Walmart
Pitbull, the rapper known as “Mr. Worldwide,” is bringing a taste of Florida to the Las Vegas area with a new location of his restaurant Miami Grill.
Miami Grill opened in 1983 in Key West, Florida, serving cheesesteaks, gyros, burgers, wings and subs. Pitbull, who grew up in Miami, was a regular at the restaurant before he became a partner in 2012.
The fast-casual chain opened its first Nevada location and announced plans to open three to five more restaurants in the Las Vegas area. A location in Oceanside, California, is also listed as “coming soon” on Miami Grill’s website, marking the restaurant’s first West Coast location.
But the first location to debut in Nevada isn’t where you’d think.

The first Nevada location of Miami Grill is not opening on the colorful Las Vegas Strip, but 10 miles south inside a Walmart near Henderson, Nevada.
While the grocery store is no stranger to in-store restaurants — many Walmart locations have a McDonald’s or a Charley’s Cheesesteak — the Henderson store is the first to house a Miami Grill.
The fast food chain’s menu includes sandwiches from cheesesteaks to fried chicken and burgers, as well as gyros, wings, salads, fried seafood and breakfast plates.
