PIQUA — Several firefighters have responded to a house fire in Miami County Tuesday morning.

Piqua firefighters were dispatched around 6:34 a.m. to the 600 block of Wood Street on initial reports of a structure fire.
Piqua Firefighters Local 252 posted photos on social media and it shows smoke coming from the back of the house. They are also asking people to avoid the area.
Miami County dispatchers tell News Center 7 that firefighters have responded to a structure fire and no other information was available.
“Crews are currently on the scene of a working structure fire in the 600 block of Wood Street,” they said in a statement. “Covington Avenue is shut down along with Wood Street.”
Troy firefighters are also at the scene.
Initial scanner traffic indicated that flames were coming from the roof.
