Tyreek Hill says ‘a lot of people got fired’ after divorce filing
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill told fans on Twitch on Thursday night that he has fired “a lot of people” for the “mistake” regarding a divorce petition filed in Broward County court on Monday.
Hill’s Fort-Lauderdale-based family law attorney filed the petition for divorce two months after he married Keeta Vaccaro in Texas during the Dolphins’ bye week. After the Sun Sentinel reported the divorce filing, Hill denied it on X, writing, “boy no the heck we didn’t so don’t put that in the air !!! We are happily married and gone stay that way.”
At the beginning of a video game streaming session Thursday night, Hill acknowledged that the filing was a public record, though he did not explain how the petition got filed if he was not in fact getting divorced.
“Now a lot of people been in my business lately, me and Kee’s business,” he said. “And I just gotta say that it sucks, a lot of our stuff is public record, but behind closed doors a lot of people got fired too for just doing things without our yes.”
Hill added that he fired the person that “did the mistake,” calling them a “bonehead.” He didn’t provide further details on who was fired. He added that he and Vaccaro have a vacation planned and nothing is going on between them.
The attorney who filed the divorce petition, Gary Celetti, did not immediately return emails or messages left at his office Friday. Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, also did not immediately respond.
Meanwhile, the court case appears to be proceeding; Marks and West, a family law firm, submitted a filing on Vaccaro’s behalf with their email addresses on Friday, records show.
“Yeah public record says it,” Hill said on stream Thursday, “and right now we’re fixing it.”
