Driver airlifted to hospital after brutal crash with tractor-trailer in Miami Lakes – NBC 6 South Florida

One person has been airlifted to the hospital after a brutal crash involving a tractor-trailer in Miami Lakes Tuesday morning, officials said.

The two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Northwest 158th Street and Northwest 57th Avenue and involved a green sedan.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, one patient at the scene was airlifted as a trauma alert to a local hospital.

Aerial images from the scene showed the green sedan heavily damaged as first responders worked to take the roof off the car to be able to extract the driver.

The person was extracted and rushed from the scene.

Authorities have not released any details of the victim’s identity, their current condition, or if there were others injured in the crash.

The cause of the crash and the events that led up to it are also unknown.
