Heavily armed police officers surround apartment building in South Miami

SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. – A few blocks away from South Miami’s City Hall and the headquarters of the South Miami Police Department, heavily armed police officers stood around an apartment building.

After a report of a shooting, there was a perimeter on Wednesday night in the area of Southwest 69 Street and 59 Avenue, next to the U.S. Postal Service building.

Detectives were asking anyone with information about the case to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
