Inter Miami land Royal Caribbean front-of-shirt sponsorship as kit leaked online
Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Inter Miami will have Royal Caribbean as their new front-of-shirt sponsor from next season, after the club’s kit for the 2024 campaign was leaked online.
(Un)confirmed:
- Cruise line company to take over from cryptocurrency firm XBTO
- Current front-of-shirt deal reportedly worth US$4 million to US$5 million annually
Context:
Inter Miami’s 2024 home shirt, which featured the Royal Caribbean logo, was leaked by Footy Headlines earlier this week. Sportico also reported that Royal Caribbean will be Inter Miami’s new front-of-shirt sponsor.
Though Royal Caribbean has not commented on the arrangement, the brand did announce Inter Miami star Lionel Messi as the official icon of its new ship, Icon of the Seas, which is the largest cruise ship in the world and scheduled to enter service in January. Royal Caribbean was named Inter Miami’s main club partner and official vacation partner in August.
Coming next:
Inter Miami will travel to Saudi Arabia during the 2024 MLS preseason to play in the Riyadh Season Cup as part of the club’s first-ever international tour. The team will play two matches in the country in a round-robin tournament format, taking on Saudi sides Al Hilal and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.
