NBA Live Thread: Chicago Bulls at Brooklyn Nets, 7:30 PM
The woeful Chicago Bulls, racked by trade rumors and some injuries, come to Barclays Center to face the Nets who are on the back end of a back-by-back.
The Brooklyn Nets are back at home Sunday night after beating the Miami Heat 24 hours earlier in the friendly confines of Barclays Center. A win would put the Nets back at .500. They’re currently 7-8 despite their raft of injuries. Meanwhile, the Bulls are off to a horrible start at 5-12, including only one win in seven attempts on the road.
Zach Lavine, the Bulls best player and best asset in a rebuild, is averaging 22.3 points a game, but rumors fly that he’s available for the right price. Not a good look for a franchise that seems to have been in a rebuild mode for 30 years, getting beyond the second round only once since Michael Jordan left.
