The Heat again? The Heat and Nets play their third game this season in an early evening game.
The Nets are still troubled by injuries and the Heat are coming off a devastating loss to the Knicks Friday night. Who’s got the worse situation? We will soon find out.
Miami is now 10-6 and Brooklyn 6-8. The Heat aren’t just playing a back-to-back. They’re also missing Tyler Herro. Moreover, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo looked gassed at game’s end in the Garden.

BK Injuries: Cam Thomas is making progress, but won’t be back tonight. Ben Simmons will be re-evaluated in a week. Cam Johnson didn’t play in overtime after he made the game tying layup in regulation. CJ was dealing with cramps late, but Jacque Vaughn said he’ll be good to go tonight. In fact, he’s not even on the injury report!
Heat Injuries: Bam Adebayo (hip) & Duncan Robinson (thumb) were ruled out of tonight’s game in the early afternoon. Jimmy Butler (ankle) is listed as questionable. Before today, we know Tyler Herro (ankle) is out. Former Net Dru Smith will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a third degree right ACL sprain falling a fall in Cleveland.
Robinson missed Friday night’s game after begin diagnosed with a right thumb sprain. He’s listed as day-to-day.
The Game: Cam Johnson finding his shot is just what the doctor ordered. The Nets need all the help they can get and if Johnson is able to give the Nets some solid scoring, it’ll lessen the workload on players like Dennis Smith Jr and Spencer Dinwiddie.
