Miami Beach’s Fisher Island is third-most expensive ZIP code in the U.S.
It’s no secret that real estate in Miami Beach’s Fisher Island commands top dollar, but it may surprise some to learn just how pricey it is compared to the rest of the U.S. According to a new analysis by PropertyShark, Fisher Island’s 33109 ZIP code is the third-most expensive in the country, with a median home sale price of $5.5 million.
The real estate data firm analyzed residential transactions between Jan. 1 and Oct. 20 to determine the 100 most expensive ZIP codes in the country. According to their study, Fisher Island is the most expensive ZIP code in Florida — and the No. 3 most expensive in the entire country.
This year, 33109 climbed one spot from No. 4 to No. 3 nationally, marking the first time since 2017 that it regained a spot in the top three. The $5.5 million median sale price also represents a new high, PropertyShark said.
The priciest ZIP code in the U.S. was Atherton (94027) in San Mateo County, California, where the median sales price is $8.3 million, followed by Sagaponack (11962) in the Hamptons on New York’s Long Island, where the median sale price stands at $8,075,000.
