Finland and Inter Miami star Robert Taylor decided to take inspiration from someone very close to one of his newest teammates for his Halloween costume.
Taylor posted his costume on Instagram – the best attempt he could have to emulate the look and physique of Lionel Messi’s bodyguard, Yassine Cheuko.
Wearing a team polo and track pants, Taylor also put on an arm sleeve with fake muscles as well as a bald cap and a fake beard.
Taylor tagged Cheuko in the post, saying ‘Thank you for the idea’ and adding a picture of the bodyguard in his post.
Cheuko saw it, liked it, and left a comment with a bunch of laughing emojis.
Ever since Messi arrived in Miami, Cheuko has been tasked by the club with protecting the greatest player in club, league, and the game’s history.
Cheuko is a former Navy Seal with combat experience in both Iraq and Afghanistan with expertise in martial arts, taekwondo, boxing and participated in several MMA fights.
The decision by Beckham to select the highly-skilled Cheuko came amid the rising number of pitch invaders in recent years.
That decision seems to have paid off, as Cheuko has been seen dragging many a fan away from the 36-year-old Argentine as they scramble on the pitch for a pic.
As a result, Cheuko has garnered plenty of media attention for his work – including some attention from not-so-typical places.
He’s received proposals from adult content websites – including one that offered him $25k to flex his muscles as their ‘martial arts ambassador’.
