Pickup truck slams into southwest Miami-Dade home

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A driver crashed his or her pickup truck into a southwest Miami-Dade home Wednesday morning.

Video from Sky 10, taken just after 10:30 a.m., showed the front half of the truck inside the house, located in the 11900 block of Southwest 185th Street in the South Miami Heights area.

First responders from the Miami-Dade Police Department and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were at the scene.

The Sky 10 video appeared to show rescue crews treating a man outside of the home; he was sitting up, conscious and talking to medics.

MDFR officials confirmed that one person was transported to a hospital with “traumatic injuries.”

It’s not yet clear what led up to the wreck.
