Trump announces Nov. 8 rally in Hialeah same day GOP pres. debate in Miami

HIALEAH, Fla. – Donald Trump announced through a campaign email on Friday that he would be holding a rally in Hialeah on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

The rally no doubt was intentionally planned for that day as the third Republican presidential debate will be getting underway at 8 p.m. in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

Trump’s rally will be held at the Ted Hendricks Stadium at Henry Milander Park, 4800 Palm Ave. The timeline of events are, according to the email, parking and line opens at 8 a.m., doors will open at 2 p.m., special guest speaker remarks at 5 p.m. (speakers were not disclosed) and at 7 p.m., Trump will deliver remarks. Tickets are limited to 2.

Trump, remains the frontrunner for the GOP nomination in the 2024 White House race and met qualifications for the debate but has declined the invite. He’ll be at his own rally in Hialeah. He has skipped the last two presidential debates.

According to Politico’s GOP Presidential debate tracker, currently three other candidates Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Nikki Haley, have so far met the qualifying thresholds.

Politico reported that the qualifying thresholds are even greater than the previous two debates: Candidates need to hit at least 4 percent in two national polls, or 4 percent in one national poll and 4 percent in polls of two different early-primary states to qualify.

Candidates will also need to have 70,000 donors and 200 unique donors in 20 different states to participate in Miami.

Those who had not yet qualified but still have time before the Nov. 8 debate are Chris Christie, Mike Pence, Tim Scott, Doug Burgundy, Asa Hutchinson, Ryan Binkley and Larry Elder.

On Friday, long-shot for the Republican presidential nomination, Perry Johnson, announced he was dropping out of the race.
