Alix Earle Opens Up About Meeting Braxton Berrios’ Mom

Alix Earle might not be officially dating Braxton Berrios, who she’s dubbed “NFL man,” but that isn’t stopping her from supporting him. 

The TikTok makeup guru, 22, shared one of her signature “GRWM” videos on Sunday as she revealed she was gearing up to cheer on Berrios, 27, as the Miami Dolphins took on the Denver Broncos at the Hard Rock Stadium. 

“NFL man got me and, like, seven of my friends tickets to go,” Earle said in the video as she did her makeup. 

Her routine for Sunday’s game — which saw the Dolphins dominate the Broncos 70-20 — included a Tom Ford foundation stick, Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in color “Love Trap,” which she called the “best color lip liner there is in the world,” and her “favorite” lip gloss from REFY Beauty.

While she got ready, Earle shared with her close to six million followers that she met Berrios’ family for the first time on Saturday — including his mom. 

“I also met NFL man’s mom for the first time yesterday,” she said as she added blush to her cheeks. “Leave it to me to embarrass myself.” 

After encouragement from Berrios’ mom to eat, she said she was “shoving” food into her mouth when she “laughed” and “the ham spit out of my mouth across the room.”

“I tried to laugh it off but I really wanted to, like, shoot myself,” she said candidly. 

Earle wore her hair in a slicked-back ponytail for the game and “got creative” with her Dolphins jersey — #0 for Berrios, of course — as she “performed a little bit of surgery” on it to help with the intense Miami heat. 

“I feel like this is a really cute way to wear football jerseys,” she said as she paired the Dolphins apparel, which she’d cut down the middle, with a white corset top and ripped denim shorts. 

She also shared a vlog from the game which featured footage of her and her friends as they enjoyed mimosas and drinks at a tailgate before the game as well as some moments when Earle used her field pass. At one point, she and Berrios shared a hug and she included the sweet moment in her vlog. 

Earle’s appearance at Berrios’ game on Sunday came just days after the first episode of her podcast Hot Mess with Alix Earle debuted. On the first episode, she gave fans an inside look at how she first met the wide receiver — at a celebrity-filled party in Miami in March — and how their romance first got started — he took her on a private helicopter ride as their first date. 

Despite the fun they’ve had together, she was explicit about the fact that their relationship does not have a label. “I just graduated college, I’m having fun with my friends, I’m bopping around, traveling all over the place, I’m still figuring out this next chapter of my life.”

Earle added, “There’s no pressure on it as of now, we’re gonna see where it goes. I’m having fun.”

Her denial came after she told Alex Cooper that she was single on an episode of Call Her Daddy that dropped Wednesday. 

On the podcast episode, Earle also cleared the air on the timeline of her romance with Berrios months after rumors had circulated that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend Sophia Culpo. 

“This past summer, you were getting scrutinized on the internet. People were calling you a mistress, some people were calling you a homewrecker, in regards to the NFL player you were hooking up with,” Cooper said. “Can you confirm: Were you hooking up with him when he was in a relationship?”

Earle replied, “It is so triggering to even hear you say that,” before clarifying, “No. They were not together.”

She also told Cooper that they have never been exclusive, nor did she want them to be. 

“We started talking at a very weird time in my life, I was finishing college… As much as we were hanging out, it never felt like the right time to start a relationship.”
