Victoria Beckham’s mini-me daughter Harper, 12, joins her for a gruelling workout with judo champion Bobby Rich
Victoria Beckham was in good company on Wednesday evening as she embarked on a grueling gym session with performance coach and personal trainer Bobby Rich.
The fashion designer had her very own Sporty Spice in the form of daughter Harper as Rich, a close family friend and the man behind Victoria’s new strength-based exercise routine, put them through their paces.
Taking to Instagram, former Spice Girl Victoria, 49, shared a short video of the pair following his instructions during a remote training session.
While the mother-of-four worked her way through a set of standing cable chops, Harper, 12, could be seen on a second cable machine, stationed some distance behind her mother.
Captioning the clip, Victoria wrote: ‘Check out my little gym partner on the cable machine!!’
Earlier that day Harper suggested she’s doing more than just following Victoria’s healthy lifestyle by stepping out with a bag that wouldn’t look out of place on the arm of her fashion-conscious mum.
Venturing out in Miami, the yougster carried a £2,200 Goyard handbag, beloved by A-listers due to their exclusivity, with new models only available to be bought in person in their boutiques.
Harper appeared to be in high spirits as she joined her parents and brother Cruz, 18, on their lavish yacht.
In April the Mail on Sunday revealed how Victoria had started training with beefy British judo champion Bobby Rich in favour of ‘trainer to the stars’ Tracy Anderson, the fitness guru credited for her lean physique.
The former Spice Girl stopped her daily 6km runs in favour of lifting free weights and resistance training – the sort of exercise she has previously avoided over fears she would end up too muscular.
It’s understood that Rich typically arrives at the Beckhams’ £25 million mansion in Holland Park, West London, and puts her a grueling workout in their state-of-the-art gym.
Sometimes husband David also takes part, if he’s not working aboard.
Rich concentrates on the health of joints, which is especially important now Victroria is in her late 40s.
He said of her new fitness regime: ‘She is with me in the gym five days a week – and even if she’s travelling, there are no excuses as we move to online sessions. She is putting the work in.
‘I treat the year as a season and work through different training blocks, identifying peaks and recovery phases to get the most out of the incredible efforts Victoria puts into each session, mentally and physically.’
He added that the workout consists of using her own body weight, resistance bands and ankle weights.
