Rapper Rick Ross Reportedly Grabbing a $37.5M Oceanfront Mansion in Miami
Rapper Rick Ross (whose given name is William Leonard Roberts II) must have a big bag of money: He’s reported to be in contract for a mansion on Miami’s famed Star Island.
Celebrity neighbors there include Gloria Estefan and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is said to have gifted Ross a golf cart as a welcome to the luxe enclave, according to The Real Deal.
Listed for $37.5 million, the 9,747-square-foot estate boasts six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. The record executive’s exclusive new digs span nearly an acre and boast 100 feet of prime water frontage. The pricey property is currently in “pending sale” status.
Built for a boss, the sophisticated mansion was designed to impress. Beyond the guard-gated entry, an extra-long driveway leads to the opulent residence.
Custom millwork is found throughout the home’s interior, and soaring glass walls surround many rooms, where the hip-hop artist can bask in the spectacular views.
An enormous foyer features a 30-foot ceiling, custom staircase, and travertine floors. From here, you can see all the way out to Biscayne Bay.
The sprawling living room has a wall of windows that leads to a spacious, waterfront patio.
Built-in bookcases line the walls of the library, and the entertainment room is outfitted with a built-in bar and plenty of space to relax and revel in the bayfront scenery.
A gourmet chef’s kitchen has abundant cabinets, a large island, double-wall oven, and high-end appliances. A separate breakfast room would be (yet another) nice spot to enjoy the views.
MORE FROM REALTOR:
The first-floor primary suite is surrounded by glass that opens to cool ocean breezes. Marble stairs lead to one of the two primary bathrooms, one of which has a soaking tub.
Additional en suite bedrooms are situated upstairs and offer access to oversized terraces.
Outside, the property boasts a heated pool; outdoor kitchen; and private, 40-foot dock.
Plus, there is also a garage large enough to accommodate an Aston Martin or a purple Lamborghini.
The “Port of Miami” star is said to want to enhance the property with his own personal style and design details.
A-list enclave
The swanky island’s exclusivity and privacy have made it a favorite among celebrities. Bold-faced names who have been attracted to the spot include Cher, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin.
The posh hideaway has just under three dozen extremely expensive homes. In addition to this property, there is currently only one other home there that’s on the market, according to Realtor.com®.
The listing was represented by Jill Eber, with Coldwell Banker Realty. Kimberly Knausz, with ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, repped the buyer.
