Miami Heat reportedly offer Tyler Herro plus 3 first-round picks for Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard is desperately trying to leave the Portland Trail Blazers but he only wants to play for the Miami Heat. Recently, he told the Portland Trail Blazers leadership that hw wants to be traded to the team from Florida. But the Trail Blazers are not so convinced to send him on his way to another NBA franchise. There have been many reports of attempts both from the team and the player’s agent, but the latest has to be the most exciting for Heat fans. According to Portland Trail Blazers beat reporter Aaron J. Fentress, the Heat just made an offer that might be too good to refuse. This might be the move that gets Damian Lillard a little closer to moving to Miami.

Tyler Herro enters the trade deal

Fentress reported that the Miami Heat actually made an offer that includes Tyler Herro for a trade, that has already been discussed before. However, the one part that wasn’t discussed is the three first-round picks that the Miami Heat is including in the mix. This would be hard to reject from the Portland Trail Blazers, they can always use those picks in order to either use as trading chips in a draft or get some exciting new talents. Either way, we are officially in negotiations that could ultimately lead to Damian Lillard playing with Jimmy Butler at the Miami Heat. Although the Trail Blazers still keep hope Lillard might stay, this possibility is becoming more unlikely by the minute.

As the situation drags on, recently acquired Scoot Henderson keeps wowing during the Summer League and do what he can in order to convince Lillard he should stay. Unfortunately, too many years without a trophy or a decent playoff run have passed for one of the greatest point guards of the last 15 years. It’s only natural Damian Lillard is trying to move to a team that can at least guarantee him getting to the post-season. His level of talent deserves to at least print his name in some memorable playoff games in the NBA.
