Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi, has finally arrived in the United States to continue his football career after enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas with his family.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner ended his two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain by securing his second Ligue 1 title earlier this summer. Now, the former Barcelona player is about to debut for the ambitious MLS team, Inter Miami.
The four-time UEFA Champions League winner will be unveiled on Sunday 16 July at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. Just five days later, Messi is expected to play his first match for the American side, which is currently placed 15th and last in the MLS standings.

‘The Unveil’ of Messi will take place at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at 8p.m./20:00 (EST).
Friday, 21 July
Messi is to debut for Inter Miami in the match against Mexican side Cruz Azul at the DRV PNK Stadium at 8p.m./20:00 (EST).
Both Messi’s presentation and his debut can be live streamed on Apple’s MLS Season Pass app.
