Miami football recruiting: Hurricanes pull a late shocker, land edge Marquise Lightfoot

Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes hit big on the recruiting trail Monday with the commitment of four-star edge rusher Marquise Lightfoot. Here’s what you need to know about Miami’s latest commitment:

Lightfoot, ranked sixth at his position and No. 67 overall in the Class of 2024 in the 247Sports Composite, picked the Hurricanes over Ohio State, USC and Illinois.

He is the Canes’ 15th commitment and joins four-star running back Kevin Riley out of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
