Fatal crash on I-95 causes early morning traffic mess near Miami Gardens Drive

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A deadly crash caused all northbound lanes of I-95 to be shut down Sunday morning in the area near Miami Gardens Drive.

The crash, which happened around 4 a.m., appeared to involve several vehicles, possibly five in total, with one of them, a blue Jeep, coming to a rest on its side.

So far, the Florida Highway Patrol has only confirmed that the crash was fatal, with at least one person losing their life a result.

Which car that person was in, and how they died, remains unclear.

The medical examiner arrived at the scene and began working to clear the body.
