Toronto FC fires coach Bob Bradley after disastrous MLS campaign so far – with only Inter Miami worse than the Canadian side in Eastern Conference
MLS side Toronto have fired coach Bob Bradley with the team second-last in the Eastern Conference.
Toronto lost 2-1 to New England Revolution on Saturday, prompting the change. Only Inter Miami – the team Lionel Messi is joining – has a worse record than Toronto.
A club statement said: ‘Bob has been a consummate professional with Toronto FC and we thank him for his passion and tireless work during his time here.
‘We are all disappointed that we were not able to achieve the results we expected.’
Terry Dunfield has been appointed interim coach, stepping up from an academy role with the team.
Bradley took over as Toronto coach in November 2021 and now leaves the team with a 14-26-19 record.
Assistant Coach & Technical Director Mike Sorber will leave the team alongside Bradley.
