Adrift Mare | Hotel AKA Brickell | Miami
Chef David Myers will open at Adrift Mare restaurant in Brickell.
Adrift Mare will open next month in a 2,400-square-foot space on the 25th floor of the hotel at 1395 Brickell Avenue in Miami, according to an Adrift news release. Set within an 11-story atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows, the restaurant will have an indoor seating capacity of 65 and a 41-seat private dining room.
The restaurant will mark Myers’ first Adrift on the East Coast. After opening his first restaurant in Los Angeles, Myers went on to work in the culinary industry in Asia.
In 2021, Electra America Hospitality Group, a joint venture between Electra America and AKA, bought the 36-story, 201-key hotel that at the time was branded as a Conrad. The joint venture rebranded it as an AKA.
Museum of Ice Cream | Miami Worldcenter | Miami
An ice cream-themed interactive museum that twice opened pop-ups in Miami Beach is now opening a permanent outpost across the bridge on the mainland.
Museum of Ice Cream will open early next year in a two-story, 14,000-square-foot space along the pedestrian promenade at Miami Worldcenter in downtown Miami, according to a news release from the representatives of the mixed-use project. The Museum will be at 851 Northeast First Avenue.
Founded and led by Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora, the Museum of Ice Cream first opened a pop-up at the Faena District in Miami Beach in 2017. It returned in 2022 as a weekend pop-up pool party at Hotel Greystone.
The Museum of Ice Cream also has outposts in Austin, Chicago, New York and Singapore.
Art Falcone and Nitin Motwani, in partnership with CIM Group, are the master developers of the $6 billion Miami Worldcenter. The 27-acre mixed-use complex’s retail tenant roster includes Rihanna’s lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, lululemon and Chef Michael Beltran’s Brasserie Laurel restaurant.
Gloss Naturals, Crazy Good Kitchen, Cho:Tu | Miami Beach, Coral Gables
Terranova Corporation scored three new tenants in Miami Beach and Coral Gables.
Hamburgers and chicken tenders restaurant Crazy Good Kitchen signed a three-year, 490-square-foot lease for its first Florida outpost at Lincoln Eatery food hall in Miami Beach, according to a Terranova news release. Indian street food eatery Cho:Tu also will open at the food hall, after signing a two-year lease for 190 square feet. Both restaurants will be at 723 North Lincoln Lane.
Gloss Naturals, a nail salon that uses organic products, opened at 261 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, according to another Terranova news release.
Led by Stephen Bittel, Terranova is a real estate firm with more than $1 billion in assets. In March, the firm moved its headquarters from Miami Beach to Coral Gables. Although the firm owns an extensive portfolio along Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, it leased its new headquarters space at 55 Miracle Mile from CGI Merchant Group.
Paris Saint-Germain, Habitat Hyett, more | Miami Beach
Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road scored eight new tenants.
Already open are: French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain’s team-themed store, in partnership with Lids, at 1024 Lincoln Road; retailer Habitat Hyett at 441 Lincoln Road; The Cheesecake Factory at 600 Lincoln Road; and candy store BonBonEtc at 631 Lincoln Road, according to a Lincoln Road Business Improvement District news release.
On tap to open this summer are footwear pop-up Ecco at 701 Lincoln Road, Italian restaurant Osteria da Fortunata at 607 Lincoln Road, Voyage Luggage at 663 Lincoln Road and ice cream shop Salt & Straw at 749 Lincoln Road.
Cutie, Envy, More | The Mall at Wellington Green | Wellington
The Mall at Wellington Green scored five tenants.
Cutie, which offers Disney, Hello Kitty and other pop culture-themed merchandise, took 2,300 square feet; apparel store Envy took 7,600 square feet; Leader Learning Center took 1,500 square feet, Colombian-styled denim apparel store MYM Colombian took 960 square feet; and home decor store Pera took 2,800 square feet, according to a news release from the mall. All are already open at 10300 West Forest Hill Boulevard in Wellington.
