Romeo Beckham has decided to become a “permanent asset” at Brentford B in West London, where he has been on loan since January. He chose to leave the United States when his relationship with Mia Regan fell apart. The Premier League team, Brentford FC, has officially announced the loan signing of Romeo Beckham, son of English legend David Beckham, to train and play for the B team.
Romeo didn’t hesitate to leave Miami after rekindling his romance with his girlfriend Mia Regan. The young player has turned his back on his father’s club, Inter Miami CF II of the MLS.

A source told the English newspaper Mirror: “While Romeo was away playing for Inter Miami, he and Mia found the long-distance relationship difficult. “Despite their best efforts, the situation ‘took its toll’ and they separated for a while. But when he returned to the UK on loan to Brentford, their relationship revived and things are going very well. So when Romeo received the offer to stay at Brentford, he was very excited.
“They will be able to spend much more time together, and it’s a great career opportunity for him. Both are very focused on their careers, so Mia understands how much it means to him.”
A great opportunity for Romeo
Earlier this month, his mom Victoria Beckham posted a series of Christmas pictures with the whole family, including a photo of Romeo cuddling next to a smiling Mia. Midfielder Romeo started dating Mia in 2019, two years before joining Fort Lauderdale CF, later renamed Inter Miami CF II, in 2021.
Romeo was first seen training with Brentford last year before joining them in January on a six-month loan, and now he has made the decision to let love guide his path. The source adds: “There are only a couple of financial aspects to resolve, but the deal is almost done.”
