Dallas Cowboys receiver arrested in Miami: reports
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Antonio Callaway was arrested Saturday in Miami for driving with a suspended license and failing to pay, according to multiple reports.
It is the latest in a long list of off-the-field issues for the former Florida Gators and Cleveland Browns pass catcher.
Callaway was suspended four games in 2018 for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, and also had a citation for having a suspended license in Ohio that year. He was also suspended 10 games in 2019 after reportedly failing another drug test. Four more games were added to that suspension, per reports, due to another substance abuse violation.
Callaway was a member of the Cowboys practice squad last season, and signed a futures contact with the team earlier this year.
His career got off to a promising start, as he stared 11 games and caught 43 passes for 586 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie. He has started just two more games since.
